Here is a great example of New Labour Representing You over a clear cut issue of a Childrens Playground where the Funding and planning was obtained through both Thornton and Slater 

As the person with strategic  responsibility for planning I don't get involved with specific applications as it can be perceived as undue inluence and in this case a conflict of interest.  The same would apply ot cllr Andy Thornton but Cllr Gill Thornton will be able to make representations on behalf of the community 

For avoidance of doubt Mrs Slater you should read Section 10:2 of the Constitution and declare the conflict and do what you are meant to do which is represent the people of Royds
